Jersey rules apply

CIFO concerns eligible Jersey acts or omissions on or after 1 January 2010, subject to provider jurisdiction and time limits. Generally this is 6 years from the act or 2 years from awareness, and 6 months from a final response if CIFO and the limit were explained. Exceptional waivers are possible.

Historic agreements

The Financial Services (Jersey) (Amendment) Law 2025 consumer credit regime is not yet in force. We do not rely on it for historic agreements.
