Our service

Jersey Claims helps review motor finance agreements and prepare complaints for Jersey consumers. We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice. A signed Letter of Authority is required before we act on your behalf. Humans approve outgoing communications.

Our success fee

No win, no fee. No upfront cost. Our fee is 25% of compensation actually received, plus GST at 5% of that fee. The total is 26.25% of compensation received and you retain 73.75%. For £2,000 received, the fee is £500 plus £25 GST: £525 in total, leaving £1,475. No compensation received means no success fee.

Free alternatives

You can complain directly to the lender and to the Channel Islands Financial Ombudsman for free. The Jersey Consumer Council provides free template letters. You do not have to use our paid service.

Cancellation within 14 days

You can cancel free within 14 days of agreeing to the service. Notify us through your service correspondence so we can stop work and confirm the cancellation.

Cancellation after 14 days

After work has been done, fair and reasonable costs may apply if you cancel later. The basis, amount and any cap must be explained and agreed before work begins. [to be reviewed by Jersey counsel] This is a draft clause, not a final schedule of cancellation charges.

No guaranteed outcome

Estimates are illustrative, not promises. CIFO decides each case on what is fair and reasonable. You may receive nothing. The UK FCA redress scheme does not apply to Jersey.

Your information and decisions

Provide accurate documents and tell us about relevant correspondence. You decide whether to accept an offer. We do not accept settlements without your decision. Fees and deductions must be clear before you make that decision.
